Now I know better then to try and over simplify this process. Some people spend years in meditation and self improvement ventures to learn to do this. But I would like to suggest a fairly simple way to start.

Here it is…

Set aside a few minutes 3 times a day. Once when you get up, Once around mid-day, obviously if you work 3rd shift this would be midnight, and Once before bed. When you wake up think of three positives things, realistic goals please, that you would like to see happen today. They can be as simple as a stress free commute or more complicated like “I will be patient and understanding with my boss today”. Set your three goals for the day firmly in your mind, and then go about your normal routine. At the mid-day point re-visit your three goals, Do not focus on how much of them you HAVE NOT accomplished. Focus only on the progress you have made towards meeting the goals so far. Think about what you can do in the second half of the day to make further progress towards meeting these goals. Before going to bed re-visit your three goals one last time. Give yourself a pat on the back for the goals you managed to achieve. Congratulate yourself for progress you made towards goals that you did not. And when reviewing goals you feel you made no progress toward at all, give yourself a round of applause for trying. Remember if the goal is a worthy one, simply acknowledging that it needs to be met is a wonderful thing. And you can always set it as a goal for another day. NEVER focus on what you didn’t do. Only on what you did. Today’s unmet goal can be tomorrows’ triumph. As long as you’ve made the effort you have not failed. The only failure is in not trying at all. And each goal you set aside for yourself makes you actively aware of the need to meet it. Often that awareness is all you need to succeed in changing your internal energy from negative to positive. Once you begin to project positive energy you will start to see the difference in the energy you attract.

So try this for one week, 7 days, and see what a difference it can make in your attitude, your accomplishments and your life. Then please return here and post your comments and experiences so that others will be encouraged to try it for themselves.

The reason for this is simple. We live in a world where we are programmed from the time were children, to block out the non-physical. Children see and understand more then adults because their programming is not yet complete. By the time we are adults we are fully indoctrinated into a programmed pattern of thinking. Our thought process is mapped out by factors like our religious education and socially accepted assumptions. In order for us to begin moving forward again we have to go back. We have to un-program ourselves. We have to question everything. We have to in a sense become children again. Children take nothing for granted, they ask questions constantly. Why is the sky blue, why is the grass green, why is the sun so hot? We laugh at these questions because as adults we just accept that things are what they are. It’s that mind set that keeps us from progressing. We have to look at the world with an open mind. We have to question our leaders, both political and spiritual, we have to sort out what is fact and what is opinion. Then we can look at the opinions and decide if they are logical conclusions or just supposition. If we take everything we have ever learned about the nature of and creation of the universe, about the creator [s], about A God, A Goddess or any Divine being, and look at it objectively, we find no physical manifestations of any greater power.

Does that mean it does not exist? In my opinion no. But my opinion is not what’s important. If we want to find truth, not manufactured religious structure, we have to go to the source. Since it’s obvious physical manifestation is not likely we have to search the non-physical realm to find the source. Going back to my post on The collective consciousness, [see Musing While I Wait] the connection we have to it is not one way. Not only do we feed it but we can feed on the knowledge in it. And everyone of us has a connection to it inside us. Our sub-conscious is our link to the vast store of knowledge in the collective. So to find the answers we seek we must start inside ourselves. We have to make a conscious connection to our subconscious. This is not done overnight. It takes time to develop. Meditation is a great first step. Spending quiet time looking inside ourselves helps us to bridge the gap, tear down the walls that our programming put in place, and open a line of communication from our conscious mind to the sub consciousness. Once we do that our subconscious will become a gateway to the collective knowledge. This collective consciousness contains not only present but past information. When we die, our contributions to the collective remain. That means that every wise man and woman who ever lived, all the enlightened people, the ascended masters who were able to understand the information they accessed still exists and can be accessed by making this connection.

Ever wonder why in the past we have had great minds, and great souls, like Nostradamus, Leonardo Davinci, Aristotle and Sir Isaac Newton, who were able to look into the future of mankind, into the process that makes us who we are, and yet today who do we have? Why are there no Famous Masters today? Because were programmed to ignore the non-physical. I say Famous Masters because there are enlightened individuals today but they don’t have the notoriety of those in the past. We look at Nostradamus and his quatrains, and many today believe in their accuracy. But anyone who stands up and says they have visions today is usually scoffed at. Why is it we can believe that people in the past had this ability but if someone in our time claims this power we brand them as unstable or delusional Followers of the Bible are a good example. Protestants and Catholics believe in an immaculate conception. They believe in a man named Jesus who turned water in to wine, healed the sick, walked on water, fed thousands with a basket full of food, raised a man [Lazarus] , not to mention himself, from the dead, but THEY DON”T BELEIVE IN MAGIC. What would you call it if I turned a pond into Budweiser? Hypocrisy doesn’t sit well with me because it shows a lack of logical thought process. And these deeds were not the only magic mentioned in the bible, and Jesus was not the only person of biblical record to perform magic. Moses parted the red sea.

But I also encourage you to search sites from different origins for a well rounded array of opinions

My point is if the knowledge and power to do these things existed once then they still do. Think about it, if your personal beliefs are geared toward Jesus being the Son of God, or Mohammad being the Divine Prophet, then you should want to share their life experiences that are still in the collective. All their knowledge and ability are there for you to connect with. Kind of an exciting thought isn’t it. To be able to access that knowledge.

Tear down the walls, open your mind, and begin a journey to find the answers you seek.

Now I’d like to make one thing very clear. I am not in any way trying to start a holy war. I think the term is an oxymoron. I use more examples from the Bible as opposed to the Quran or the Torah or any other book because my programming as a child was geared toward a protestant belief system. So I have an intimate knowledge of the Bible. But I think that blind obedience to any religion or book keeps us from searching for the truth inside. The logic behind the attitude religions have regarding this concept is understandable. All belief systems from structured religions tell us that we need them to obtain immortality. A belief system based on a personal connection inside the individual gives no power to the church. Therefore it’s discouraged.

And then there is the divine aspect. Churches want us to believe we need them to talk to the Divine Creator. They want us to believe we can only connect through them. What people have to realize if were going to move forward and begin again to evolve spiritually we need to look closely at whatever we envision the Creator [s] to be, we know that they exist on the non-physical plane You don’t need anyone else to connect to the Spirit. Your Spirit dwells within you. All Spirits, like thoughts are connected and can be accessed through the ether.

I write this post in the hope of encouraging more people to look inward. The more we do, the more powerful we all become.

I have spent quite a bit of time lately researching different schools of thought on well…schools of thought. The collective kind that is. Everyday we see the evidence of collective consciousness around us without really understanding what it is and how each one of us effect it. And how it effects us.

I like to think of the collective consciousness as the sum of all we are, our thoughts, our hopes even our fears. And I am not of the opinion that only human thought collects in this manner. What I have discovered is that the effect we have on others is not just to those geographically close to us. What we put into, and take out of, the collective network of thoughts is just as potent around the world as it is around the corner.

Think of the collective consciousness as a bowl of room temperature water. Then you have two glasses, one with ice water and one with very hot water. Pour either one into the room temperature bowl and it will lower or raise the temperature of the entire bowl. Not just one area. In the same way everyday we add positive and negative to the collective network making life for all of us either a little better or a little worse. Sometimes what we contribute is offset by the value of and equal but opposite contribution by another. The more we allow ourselves to become conscious of the outcome of even our thoughts, the more we can try to contribute in a positive manner. Even when we think it’s only in the privacy of our mind. Because you know what, no such privacy exists. Others may not know our thoughts by they are still effected by them. Now the actions we take in the physical world, how we treat others and how we effect their day in a tangible manner effects their thoughts and so effects their contribution to the collective. Therefore to improve the status of the collective we have to not only be mindful of our thoughts but also of our actions. The old saying that a smile is contagious is true. It improves not only our contribution to this collection but the contribution of others as well.

So if we stay mindful, literally, of not only our actions but our thoughts, the chain reaction will be an increase in this collective spiritual temperature that will have a domino effect on us all.

Tracing the chemistry and philosophy of the Philosopher’s
Stone starts in the first dynasty of Egypt and Mesopotamia
through the Commagene region of Turkey to Israel, France
and England. Unlike today where ideas are divided and
wrongly believed to be incompatable, mystery religion and
philosophy co-existed for thousands of year.

The traditional practices of Freemasons and Rosicrucians,
and even the Israelites, depended heavily on metallurgy
and alchemy. Although ignored for centuries these traditions
are coming back into mainstream use and are today again
making contributions to modern medicine and industrial
technology.

The original alchemic texts were written in Arabic, translated
into Latin in the tenth century AD (CE if you prefer). Today’s
Chemists and pharmacologists are in a sense modern day
alchemists. Both current fields of study are descendants
of alchemy.

Obtaining the secrets of The Philosopher’s Stone has been
for many their quest for the Holy Grail. Thoughout history
many have given their lives to obtain it’s secrets. But this
is a new age. The internet has opened up new doors for
all of us. While a great number of people see the internet
simply as a great way to shop or keep in touch with friends,
there are those of us who have discovered that it is the
greatest repository of knowledge ever known to man.
Here we can find secrets that were once obtained
only through great hardship. The secret of the Philosopher’s
stone is one of the great hidden treasures now being probed
and decoded for everyone to understand. The process of
deciphering these hidden secrets is not complete but we are
coming close. As minds open and the stigma of
“taboo practices” fades away the study of the stone is
moving into the mainstream sciences allowing for greater
exposure that will surely bring eventual results. Since
these studies are not complete, and the stone itself
is not yet decoded, this is where we will end our focus
on the stone and Scientific Alchemy and turn to the more
esoteric concerns of Spiritual Alchemey.

Spiritual Alchemy

Spiritual Alchemey is about personal engergies. Energies
we each posses and energies that we project to others.
The three catagories of these energies are material, social
and spiritual. Everyone posses different levels of these
energies based on factors like age, social conscience,
creativity and personal spiritual development.

For example a woman who works in a homeless shelter
caring for people in need has a high level of social energy.
A young athlete who trains 6 days a week has a high level
of material energy, in contrast to an old man who is feeble
has a low level of material energy. A monk who has
dedicated his life to spiritual development has a high
level of spirirtual energy as does an artist who creates
great works for the enjoyment of mankind. This means
we all have the ability to change our energy levels.
They are not inherent but are generated by what
we do. Choosing a path of spiritual growth and studying
regularly on that path, whether it be Alchemy or Wicca or
any other Pagan path, increases your spiritual energy.
For clarification purposes I’d like to say the reason I
mentioned only pagan paths of spiritual development
is because mainstream religions today have become
so tainted by money and power that true spiritual
development along these paths is no longer realistic.
To increase your material energy you could start
exercising daily. eating more healthy, and becoming a
physically stronger individual. To increase your social
energy you only need to gain a stronger social
conscience. You could donate your time at an
animal shelter, become a big brother or big sister
to an underprivaledged youth. You could help
out with a telethon to gain money for cancer
research. Or you could simply invite the lonely
widow next door over for dinner. Anyway I think
you get the point. The three enrgies are not
static, they ebb and flow with how we live.
When we increase these energies we increase
our ability to affect the world around us. The
energy we emit touches everything around us.
It affects the people, the animals, even the
plants and trees our energies touches. If we
all work to increase our energies imagine how
much better the world around us will become.

I was planning on writing my next post on Buddhism, however I have something else very heavy on my mind that I felt was more urgent.

I’m sure by now you have heard the doomsday predictions about 12-21-2012. There are many theories about what the tragic event will be. There are many interpretations as to what Nostradamus meant in his quatrains. And then there is the Mayan calendar which ends on 12-21-2012.

Well lets start with Nostradamus.
His writings are talked about all over the world. They are always the subject of great controversy. Why? Because of the cryptic method he used to record his visions they are not straight forward and so are open to interpretation, kind of like the Bible. And look how that one worked out.. Millions of people all reading the same book, Thousands of churches, hundreds Of religions, all with different Points of view, all thinking their the only ones who are right. And that’s just the religions based on one book. You also have the Koran, the Torah etc…

Anyway my point is when something is written in a cryptic manner or uses generalities it Is going to be interpreted by different people differently.
Also you need to consider view. By this I mean what he saw, and how he saw it, and yes I do believe through alchemic methods he truly had visions. When one has a vision it is of a certain place or event. They don’t see the entire planet at once unless the perspective of the vision is from outer space and then they wouldn’t be able to see individual people or events,
They could only see something huge like the planet exploding. NONE of Nostradamus visions were of that nature. His warnings are all of specific tragedies, specific places and events. Some were of people and some were of events. When he speaks of events he speaks of earthquakes, tsunamis, famine, disease war and the like. Consider this, Visions of the internal mind have a myopic view just like those of the external eyes. If you had a vision
of a wave slamming down on many people you might think the world was destroyed by the great wave. But what you really saw was the tsunami event of August 10, 2009 in the Andaman Islands. It was a tragedy no doubt, and my thoughts are with the survivors who lost everything including loved ones, but it was not an extinction level event. Also consider this, Nostradamus wrote his quatrains to warn us to take action to fix the problems he saw coming,
He tells us to head his warnings and take action before it’s too late. First of all why would he be granted visions of something that was inevitable. That would be a cruel thing to do to anyone. And if Nostradamus himself felt that a catastrophe was coming that we had no control over why would he have bothered to warn us. His warnings were of events that could be prevented or corrected if we listened to him.

The global issues that plague us right now are of our own making. We have created it through our misuse of the planet and it’s resources. Nostradamus warns us that when these things come to pass we must act quickly to reverse the damage if we want to halt the trend of increasing tragedies.

Aside from those warnings which are related to the global problems we have caused he made no predictions that can reasonably be translated as doomsday warnings. But don’t take my word for it. I believe we all have a brain for a reason. We all need to stop letting others do our thinking for us. So read his quatrains for yourself. You will find a link to them at the bottom of this post. But keep these things in mind.

1. The rhymed quatrains of Nostradamus were written mainly in French with a bit of Italian, Greek, and Latin thrown in. So the English translation may not be perfectly accurate.

2. Even the person who has a vision has to interpret what they see, and they interpret it according to their own experiences. Since the world today is very different from what is was then, there had to have been much of what he saw that he had trouble assimilating. If you lived in a pre-modern age, and you had a vision of the nuclear bomb that detonated in Hiroshima you would without a doubt think the world was destroyed.

3. And finally when you go to the link below you will find all 942 quatrains divided into 10 centuries, that’s how the chapters are described by Nostradamus. You will also find the site hosts interpretations of the quatrains.
Remember all interpretations are subject to bias and opinion. If you want to read the interpretations fine but I suggest you read the quatrains first and draw your own conclusions.

My next post will be on The Collective Human Consciousness and how it will effect the changes coming in 2012. There are changes coming as a result of cosmic events and planetary placements, as predicted by the Mayans, but they are not global catastrophes. They are evolutionary advances of our entire race.

And as for the Mayan calendar declaring the end of the world The astronomer Philip Plait has stated very clearly that the Mayan calendar does not end in 2012 at all, that it is like the odometer on your car, as each section of the odometer reaches 9 and then clicks over to 0, the next number to it starts a new cycle, so that when all the numbers again reach 0 all the way across the odometer – the last number will change from 1 to 2 and the new cycle starts all over again. Makes sense, think about how many different calendars cultures have used throughout human history. The world has never ended just because the calendar ends. It simply starts over. So why did the Mayans, as well as other cultures end their calendars at this particular time. Because these calendars are based on the movement and placement of celestial bodies, their positions in relation to us, and how their locations affect our planet. They recognized that this date would mark the beginning of the next cosmic revolution of our sun around our galaxy, from our vantage point that is.
This solar placement coincides with the zodiac calendar and the beginning of the Age of Aquarius.

We are now in the age of Pisces and have been for aprox. 2000 years. The Age of Aquarius, as heralded by many people in the 60’s, is an age of spiritual enlightenment. Something we should be looking forward to not fearing.

Think back to the 60’s, if your old enough, if not research it online. Hippies, as they were called, cried out for peace, love, and respect for the planet and its resources. They were laughed at, criticized, and mostly ignored. Now over 40 years later, we have come to realize they were right about our destruction of the planet and how we would pay for it They were right about putting an end to war, less people are able to tolerate the killing of each other today over a difference of opinion, and as these convictions grow in civilization war will eventually end. It’s also interesting to note that several enlightened writers of books about the coming age have stated in their books that aprox 40 years prior to this new age there will be an enlightened movement declaring the new age. And the authors I am speaking of wrote these predictions hundreds of years before the hippy movement began. But the timing was right on.

And keep in mind when you read Nostradamus’s prophesies, some of his warnings are about tragedies of nature growing in frequency, he tells us to do something about it before its too late. The only way we can fix nature is if we broke it in the first place. Why warn us about something that’s out of our control. In addition many of his Quatrains are warnings about wars. Again he warns us in hope of preventing the event. He warns people to leave cities where great suffering will occur in hopes of saving as many as he can. Not one of his prophesies is of an event that we have no control over. There is no logic in making such a declaration. It would only cause mass hysteria. And this is what concerns me now.

In my next post on The Collective Human Consciousness, I will tell you how our individual thoughts and actions effect the Collective Human Consciousness . The more of us who are driven to panic over 2012, the more others will panic. The more of us who stay calm, the more others will stay calm.

Quatrains of Nostradamus

Many Egyptians believed in not one but two paradises.
One ruled by Ra, the sun god, the other by Osiris.
The Osirian paradise was where men were judged
according to their deeds. Similiar to the christian
belief in standing in front of the open book of
life on judgement day. Osiris was an agricultural
deity to whom the belief in “reaping what you sow”
is attributed. The realm of Ra however did not
require good living to enter but magical formulae.

In the Egyptian Book of the Dead, which you can find
a link to on our “In Search of Knowledge” page,
it seems the reason for mumification was to preserve
the body for the return of the soul after 3000 years. This
belief in transmigration of souls is connected with the
similar concept of the souls being passed from father to
son, thus a son becomes the image of his father, as Horus
was ofhis father Osiris. There existed various forms of the
archaic chaos-egg myth associated with the gods Ptah,
Khnumu, seb, Osiris and Ra. As the European giant hides
his soul in the egg, which is within the duck, which is within
the fish,which is within the deer and so on, and Bata hides
his soulin the blossom, the bull, and the tree ere he becomes
“husband of his mother”, so does Osiris, “hide his essence
in the shrine of Amon”, while his manifestations include
a tree , the Apis Bull, the boar, the goose, and the
Oxyrhynchus fish, Similarly when Set was slain he became a
“roaring serpent” a hippopotamus, a crocodileor a boar.
The souls of Ra, Ptah, and Khnumu are in the chaos egg like
two of the prominent Hindu and Chinese gods. Other
Egyptian deities who are “hidden” include Amon, Sokar,
and Nieth.This persistant myth, which appears to have
been associated with belief in transmigration of souls, may
be traced even in Akhenaton’s religion. We have “Shu
(atmospere god in his Anton (sun disk)”, and a reference
in the famous hymnto the “air of life” in the “Egg”. There
can be little doubt that the Transmigration theory prevailed
at certain periodsand in certain localities in ancient Egypt,
and the statement made by Herodotus was well founded,
despite attempts to discredit it.

The conception of a creator was associated with that
form of earth, air, and water worship perpetuated at
Memphis, where the presiding Deity was the hammer
god Ptah, whoresembles the chinese Pan-Ku, Indra of
the Aryans, Tarku and Sutekh of Asia Minor, Hercules,
Thor, and so on. The creatrix was on the other hand
more closely associated with lunar, earth, and water
worship, and was the principle deity of the
Mediterranean race spreading into Asia Minor and
Europe.

I could write 50 pages on the Egyptian influence of
religion in other cultures but I think I made my point.
Studying Ancient Egyptian religious myths and beliefs
can give us great insite into our current beliefs and
practices.
